Abstract

Teaching a larger-size classroom is one of the major challenges for the teachers. Students and teachers do not get enough time to interact and work on the higher-order cognitive skills. Although the teachers work harder to reach students via traditional classroom but unable to achieve success. Most of the students do not get attention because of the present style of teaching. Teaching and learning demand individual attention, feedback, practice and so on, but it is extremely difficult to work due to lack of time in the classroom. The teacher must complete the syllabus which is his/her first priority because of administration pressure and due to this the maximum time is spent on completing the syllabus through one-way teaching. Although it is boring but helps the teacher to complete the syllabus. Unfortunately, the students have to face many challenges while speaking in English with the outside world because these are given less importance in the classroom. The classroom which is organized to develop the lower-/higher-order skills, focuses on only lower-order cognitive skills. The researcher has found that the reverse teaching, that is, flipped classroom is more beneficial in teaching the large- and small-size classrooms.
