Aquilaria malaccensis Lamk. (locally known as Agar or Xanchi) is a precious floral wealth of North-East India and is the principal producer of agarwood formed as a result of host-fungus interaction. This paper deals with early flowering and fruiting of A. malaccensis Lamk. seedlings of 1–2 years old raised saplings in the Germplasm bank of Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat, Assam.
