Effect of incubation period on callus proliferation and secondary metabolites production of Uraria picta callus was studied. In the present study, callus generated from root explant of Uraria picta on MS medium supplemented with NAA (2 mg/l) along with BA (0.5 mg/l) was used as inoculums for callus proliferation experiments. Callus so generated was harvested at every week interval up to 10 weeks of inoculation and analyzed for phytochemical screening. It provides insight about secondary product synthesis and accumulation in the cultures as well as helpful in designing experiments for optimization, harvesting of tissues after a particular period of time of inoculation.
