Aegle marmelos, commonly known as Bael, is renowned for the essential oil content in its mature leaves. It unveils potent antimicrobial and antifungal activities, validating its traditional use. The plant possesses significant anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Its robust antioxidant capabilities are vital use for countering oxidative stress linked to various diseases. The preclinical studies hint it’s neuroprotective potential. The Aegle marmelos exhibits extensive clinical promise in managing metabolic and liver disorders through its antidiabetic and hepatoprotective properties. Immune-modulatory effects offer its potential use in overall health improvement intriguing insights into its anticancer potential warrant further exploration. Comprehensive safety considerations, including radioprotective effects and toxicological profile, provide crucial insights for its therapeutic use. This review extensively examined the therapeutic properties of leaves, fruits, stems, and roots of Aegle marmelos. This comprehensive update review highlights A. marmelos pharmacological richness, positioning it as a promising role in traditional medicine and bio-resources as value-added products.
