Abstract

Aegle marmelos (Linn.) Correa (Bael) tree, belonging to family Rutaceae, has a very important place in ayurvedic literature. It's root, stem bark, leaves and fruits have immense medicinal importance and are used in several ayurvedic formulations. Researches have proved the medicinal value of this tree in curing the diseases of variable etiologies.
