This paper looks at the role of community radio in agriculture and rural development. If used in conjunction with other modes of promoting agriculture and development, community radio can play an effective role in accelerating social change. Citing examples and analysis from different case studies, the paper explains a linkage among the rural radio, agriculture and development and offers recommendations on how to increase the effectiveness of community radio in the process of social change and development.
