Interrelationship of yields and associated characters in hull-less barley (Hordeum vulgare L.)

Association and path analysis of grain yield plant⁻¹ were studied in half diallel set of six hull-less and two-hulled barley parents. Grain yield showedpositive significant association with tillers plant⁻¹, 1000 grain weight, biological yield plant⁻¹ and harvest index. Path analysis revealed biological yield plant⁻¹, harvest index, tillers plant⁻¹ were the important characters of grain yield in hull-less barley and need greater selection emphasis.
