Genetic Variability, Correlation and Path Coefficients were studied on 9 characters in 27 genotypes of rice. Statistical analysis was done. A wide Variability was recorded for most of the characters. Heritability in broad sense was very high for all the characters, hundred seed weight followed by plant height, days to 50 percent flowering and spikelet density coupled with high genetic advance. Effective tillers per plant, panicle length, hundred seed weight, spikelet density recorded highly significant positive correlation and sterility percent recorded highly significant negative correlation with grain yield per plant. Path analysis indicated a highest positive direct effect on panicle length on grain yield.
