Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine the probable effect of Knowledge Management of head nurses on the commitment of nurses to their hospital. The data is collected from 28 nurses working at Gondar hospital, Ethiopia by means of questionnaire. Cronbach's Alpha of Knowledge Management and the dependent variable, Organizational Commitment are. 774; and 629 respectively. Descriptive analysis, correlation, and stepwise regression analysis were used. The result of the analysis indicates that the level of practicing of Knowledge Management and organization commitment level of the respondents is low. Knowledge Management is positively correlated with organizational commitment. About 28.4% variance is in organizational commitment is explained by Knowledge Management. From the items designed to measure Knowledge Management only two emerged as having predictive power.
