The present study was conducted on 34 varieties of potato along with four treatments under two major factors, Horizontal: well watered (control) and water stressed, and vertical: with mycorrhiza and without mycorrhiza. It was found that mycorrhiza treated plants were at par with non-treated once as far as germination is concerned. LAI was also increased undar stress in K Giriraj (88%) and K. Swarna (60%) with mycorrhiza application. Total yield was improved in K. Arun (39%) as K. Sherpa (32%) under mycorrhiza application but under stress condition. Yield of marketable tuber was increased (75%) in K. Sherpa followed by (42%) in K. Chamatkar and (38%) in K. Jawahar, whereas tuber deformity was decreased from 33 to 100% and therefore the quality of potatoes have improved in K. Chipsona,-1, K. Jawahar, K. Kuber, K. Sutlej and K. Alankar under water stress condition.
