A field experiment was carried out at Horticultural Research Centre, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Modipuram, Meeurt (UP) during the Kharif season 2008 and 2009 to study the response of zinc and iron as a foliar application on growth and yield of Chilli. Experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with ten treatments and three replications The micro - nutrients treatments T1 (0.15% Zinc and 0.10% Iron) T2 (0.15% Zinc and 0.20% Iron) T3 (0.15%Zinc and 0.40%Iron) T4 (0.30% Zinc and 0.10% Iron) T5 (0.30%Zinc and 0.20% Iron) T6 (0.30%Zinc and 0.40% Iron) T7 (0.60 Zinc and 0.10% Iron). T8 (0.60% Zinc and 0.20% Iron) T9 (0.60% Zinc and 0.40% Iron) and T10 (control). The results of present investigation indicated that the vegetative growth character plant height (cm) as well as yield contributing characters viz, number of fruit per plant, fruit length (cm), weight per fruit (g), weight of fruit per plant (g) and fruit yield q/ha were found to be maximum in the foliar application of treatments T5 0.3 per cent zinc and 0.2 per cent iron as compared to control and other treatments.
