Abstract

Agricultural production worldwide is faced with severe problems caused by climate change. Modern bio-technologies such as bio-fertilisers are a powerful tool to improve soil fertility and sustainable production, rendering agricultural systems more stress-tolerant. Moreover they help to reduce the amount of energy demanding inputs such as chemical fertilisers. The result indicated that the Six wheat varieties (K-7903, HUW-234,UP-2425,RAJ-3765,K-9644,PBW-373) were treated with two organic fertilizer (Bio-Elixir and APSA-80). Result show that the highest no. of tiller, no. of grain per spike, spike length, plant height and yield per plant and chlorophyll content were obtained when Bio-Elixir was apply as a fertilizer. While, in another treatment where APSA-80 is used as fertilizers then the no. of tiller, no. of grain per spike, spike length, plant height, yield per plant were lowest as comparison to the other treatment of Bio-Elixir fertilizer. So we can say that the most favourable variant of fertilization was Bio-Elixir.
