The productivity of vegetables per unit area and time could be increased by adopting feasible scientific and sustainable management practices with a suitable variety. To popularize the improved vegetables production practices, total 180 demonstrations on different vegetables i.e. okra (130), pea (30) and cabbage (20) were conducted during 2008–09 to convince the farmers about potentialities of improved variety and other production practices about worth of a new variety and improved production management practices of vegetables for further adoption. To study the impact of demonstrations, all 180 participating farmers were selected as respondent through proportionate sampling. It was observed that the demonstrations recorded 47.14, 16.10 and 29.45 percent higher vegetable yield over local checks in okra, pea and cabbage, respectively.
