Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Research farm of Basmati Export Development Foundation, Modipuram during kharif 2010 and 2011 to find out effect of rice variety Pusa Basmati-1 with two seedling rate (single and double) and four planting geometry (20x10cm, 20x15cm, 25x25cm and 25x30cm). On the basis of results it is revealed that highest grain yield and yield attributing traits were found with double seedling than single seedling. Planting geometry 20x15 cm and 20x10 cm being at par produced significantly higher grain yield than other spacings.
