A mapping population of 117 recombinant Inbred lines obtained from the cross Pusa 1103 x SBD 377 (F9 generation) was used in order to identify QTLs associated with agronomic productivity traits. Phenotyping for various agromorphological traits was carried out in year 2011 at SVPUA&T, modipuram. High genetic variability was observed for all studied traits in the two water treatment conditions. Significant correlations were observed among studied traits. Parental screening was carried out using 100 primers among which 53 were SSR, 30 were STMS and 17 were gene specific primers to analyze polymorphism in 117 Rils. Linkage map was prepared using 8 markers which show polymorphism. Out of 8 markers 7 markers form a linkage group that covered 107.4 cM on a single chromosome. Using the linkage map QTL mapping is done. 11 QTLs were observed across two water treatment conditions. The percentage of phenotypic variance obtained ranged between 0.25% to 0.78%. These QTLs have potential use in marker assisted selection.
