Abstract

Mango Anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz., is a widely prevalent and economically significant disease of mango. 20 isolates of C. gloeosporiodes were obtained from Chittoor and Kadapa districts of Rayalaseema region. All isolates were studied for pathogenic variability using spray inoculation method on one year old baneshan mango grafts and observed considerable variation in per cent disease incidence (PDI) and thus grouped in to different virulence categories. Cg 14 exhibited maximum per cent disease incidence(56.40) and Cg 19 recorded lowest per cent disease incidence(23.43).
