Studies on genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance were carried out among Fifteen genotypes of Bottle gourd for character to identify genotypes to be used in breeding programme. The result showed high phenotypic and genotypic co-efficient of variation for traits like Fruit Diameter (GCV = 63.84; PCV = 64.37). High heritability coupled with high genetic advance as per cent of mean observed for fruit yield (q/h), average fruit weight (g), number of primary branch, days to fruit harvest, days to fruit set, number of fruit per plant, vine length (m) and days to 50% flowering. This indicated substantial of additive genetic variance in expression of these characters and can be useful in hybridization and selection for higher pod yield.
