Abstract

Time is the essence of life and its management for any women entrepreneur is the basic requirement behind her success. Managing the tremendous work load both at the enterprises and at her home is really a tough assignment. The goal of time management includes bringing a balance between work, rest and leisure. The present investigation on time management practices of women entrepreneurs of Kanpur was based on a survey design which consisted of selection of area, selection of sample, se1ection of tool, conduct of the survey and tabulation and analysis of data. The result revealed that although the entrepreneurial activities were various angled, the entrepreneurs could spend on an average eight hours per day in the enterprises. With regard to peak load 82 percent of women entrepreneurs were highly urged for time between 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the enterprises and in the morning between 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. at home. Eighty five per cent felt very happy on an off day because they feel free from usual tension and work load.
