The present investigtion was based on 2070 lactation records of 1380 Holstein-Friesian x Hariana (FH) and 690 Holstein-Friesian x Sahjwal (FS) crossbreds cattle belonging to six Millitary farms during 1966-88. Age at first calving (AFC), first lactation and lifetime production traits viz. First lactaion. milk yield (FLMY), first calving interval (FCI), first lactation profit (FLP), lifetime milk yield (LTMY), lifetime profit (LTP) and number of calving (NC) were analysed by least-squares technique. The farm x genetic group and period effect were significant for all traits except for first calving interval (FCI). Genetic groups and farms were, significantly influenced for all these traits. Season of calving had no influence on age at first calving (AFC), first lactaion milk yield (FLMY), first lactation profit (FLP) and number of calving (NC). The significant effect of genetic group x farm interactions suggested that performance of genetic group differently at different farmar. In general, Friesian x Sahiwal (FS) crossbreds were superior to Friesian x Hariana crosbreds (FH) in all first lactation and lifetime traits.
