To asses the effect of treatments on plantand soil five levels SAR in irrigation water of EC (8 dS/m) as 5 (T1), 10 (T2), 15 (T3), 20 (T4) and 37.5 (T5) were tested on lemon grass. The various treatment effects were studed on plant growth, yield attributes; oil content and production. The findings of this investigation are concluded as : (i) to increase in SAR levels of irrigation water reduced significantly the height and number of tillers/plant of lemon grass as compared to lower level of SAR (ii) The herb yield dry metter yield decreased at higher level of SAR (EC 8 dS/m with SAR 37.5 and increased at low level of under treatment EC 8 dS/m with SAR 5. (iii) The oil content did not show statistical variation with respect to SAR level of irrigation water and ranged from 0.7 to 0.9%
