Abstract

The present investigation was carried out to find the optimum dose of nitrogen for component cropsin sole and inter-cropping system of French bean and potato. The experiment was conducted in twosuccessive Rabi season in split plot design with three cropping system and four nitrogen levels in threereplications. The results of present investigation could be concluded that, the optimum dose of nitrogenfor French bean was found 155.30 kg N/ha for sole crop and 158.61 kg N/ha for intercropping. Theoptimum dose of nitrogen for potato was computed as 166.62 kg N/ha for sole cropping and 176.20 kgN/ha for intercropping. No remarkable effect of component crops was observed on each other inintercropping system.
