Cabbage is the most popular winter Vegetable in India. Presently it is available in the market roundthe year. It is rich in mineral matters and Vitamin A, B, B2 and C. It is grown at large scale by the Vegetable growers, most of the Vegetable Growers were growing Cabbage as sole crop and got averageyield 216 qt/ha with the Rs 181 lakhs/ha/year net return, the income of farmers was not good becausequality of cabbage was deteriorate due to infestation of pest. To keeping in view Marigold intercroppingwith cabbage was promoted through transfer of production technologies. In this system Marigold Variety (Pusa Narangi) and Cabbage Variety (Golden Acer) nursery were sown in First week of August. Seeds ofboth crops (Cabbage & Marigold) and nursery beds were treated before sowing for the prevention of Damping-off disease. In This technology Farmer got the cabbage yield 160 qt/ha with good quality andmarigold flowers yield 82qt/ha with the net return Rs 2.85 lack/ha. Pest attack on cabbage crop wasminimising due to marigold crop. It's also proved by (7), resulting quality were better than sole crop ofcabbage. With this technique Farmer income increase 57.45%. On the basis of this result this techniqueis suitable to the farmers. Now this technique is adopting by farmers at large level. Cabbage @ Rs1200/qt, Marigold @ Rs2500/qt, Cost of Cultivation alone crop Rs 75000/ha and intercrop Rs 120, 000.
