The current study was conducted during the Rabi season of 2023-2024 at the experimental field i.e. Kotra Santaur and laboratories of Uttaranchal University Department of Agriculture in Dehradun (Uttarakhand). The research was laid out on Randomized Block Design with three Replication to test seven treatments: T1 (Control), T2 RDF (60: 40: 20), T3 RDF (100%) + Vermicompost (15t/ha), T4 RDF (100%) + FYM (10t/ha) + Vermicompost (15t/ha), T5 RDF (100%) + Poultry Manure (2t/ha), T6 RDF (100%) + FYM (10t/ha), and T7 FYM (10t/ha). Growth characteristics and yield components were statistically analyzed. Data on growth characteristics and yield components were gathered and examined statistically. Overall results depicted that among nutrient management practices treatments T4 recorded significantly higher growth and yield attributing characters: Plant height, Dry matter accumulation, LAI, Days of emergence, grain, straw, and biological yield (kg ha-1), of barley except Plant population, No. of tillers, spike length, and No. of grain per spike was recorded higher in treatment T3. The fertility of soil also improved after the harvest with the use of inorganic and organic fertilizer mixtures. Performance in terms of yield of barley in treatment T6 (RDF 100% + FYM 10 t/ha) was at par with treatment T3 (RDF 100% + Vermicompost 15t /ha) and T4 (RDF 100% + FYM 10t/ha + Vermicompost 15 t/ha). And, various combinations of RDF, FYM, and vermicompost failed to produce any significant variation in the test weight of barley.
