Effect of Integrated Nutrient Management on Quality Traits, Economics Returns and Soil Nutrients Availability After Harvest of Carrot (Daucus Carota L.) in Arid Region

Abstract

A field experiment was conduct at the Instructional Farm, College of Agriculture, Jodhpur, during the Rabi season of 2023-24 to evaluate the effect of integrated nutrient management on Quality Traits, Economics Returns and soil nutrients availability after harvest of carrot (Daucus carota L.) in arid region. The experiment consists of thirteen treatments conducted in Randomized Block Design (RBD) replicated thrice. Results revealed that effect of various nutrient combination had effect on Quality Traits and available nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (Kg/ha). 100% RDF + Azotobacter + PSB + KSB (T11) improved the maximum total soluble solids (9.60 0Brix), carotene content (4.92 mg/100g), chlorophyll content of leaves at harvest (1.098 mg/100g) and available nitrogen (183.68 Kg/ha), available phosphorus (23.35 Kg/ha) and available potassium (332.23 Kg/ha) contents in soil as compared to control (174.00, 21.01 and 320.33 Kg/ha, respectively).
