Occupational health, safety, and environmental (OHSE) management is critical in India’s construction and engineering sectors due to high fatality rates, regulatory challenges, and underutilization of modern safety technologies. This study evaluates existing OHSE practices, compares them with global benchmarks like ISO 45001 and OSHA standards, and suggests strategic improvements. Through case studies from Tata Steel, L&T, and others, it highlights how AI, training, and structured audits significantly reduce incidents and improve compliance.
