Health, Safety and Environment in Construction

The construction industry in Bengaluru has witnessed rapid growth, but this expansion has raised concerns about Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance. This study assesses HSE practices in selected construction projects across Bengaluru, identifying key risks, compliance gaps, and best practices. Data was collected through site inspections, worker interviews, and safety audits. Findings reveal inadequate personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, poor waste management, and insufficient safety training. Recommendations include stricter enforcement of safety regulations, enhanced worker training programs, and sustainable waste disposal methods to improve HSE standards in Bengaluru’s construction sector.
