Abstract

With the expanding population in urban areas urban agriculture is expanding to meet demands for local food, social engagement and environmental benefits. Currently in the market we have seen lots of moving vehicles carrying useful stuffs like moving clinics, moving restaurants, in the same way one emerging concept is the utilization of moving vehicle-based micro farms which can be also be called as “moving haulers” is proposed in the present study. These vehicles can bring fresh agriculture produce directly to the consumers. Direct relation between producer and consumer is also created here. Here in this paper, we are presenting a concept about moving haulers which is a moving vehicle with farming. The technical, financial, environmental and governance aspects of constructing a moving hauler and its use in urban areas has been analyzed in this paper. We are presenting here a technical design for movable micro-farms with fresh vegetables along with the main obstacles including its economic, logistical and regulatory aspects. This concepts also enables use of cheap drip irrigation system also, other latest advanced techniques can also promoted.
