Abstract

To asses the effect of treatments on plant and soil five levels SAR in irrigation water of EC (8 dS/m) as 5 (T1), 10 (T2), 15 (T3), 20 (T4) and 37.5 (T5) were tested on lemon grass. The various treatment effects were studied on nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium content and uptake, respectively. The findings of this investigation are concluded as: (i) to increasing the levels of SAR of irrigation water generally decreased nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium contents and increased the sodium content (ii) the uptake values of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium were found to be reduced significantly with higher level of SAR and increased thatof sodium uptake with higher level of SAR
