The situations in the state of Rajasthan are diverse from many states in India with special reference to existing feed and fodder resources. Therefore an attempt was made to study the existing feed and fodder situation in one of the village samogar of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan state. The study conducted through adopting Participating Research Methodology and focussed P.R.A. The study reported that the fresh stalk/green fodder as well as dry stover of pearl millet, sorghum/M P chari and green fodder of cluster bean, barley, berseem, leaves of mustard and local green grasses and straw of wheat, barley, cluster bean, peas, lentil and dry grasses (Hay) alongwith barley dalia, frour of wheat, pearl millet, cluster, bean, dhencha and mineral mixture as a concentrate and cakes of mustard/til or rapessed offered to the milch animals by the farmers besides grazing. In case of drought animals like he buffaloes and bullocks the green fodder/fresh stalk as well as dry fodder (stover) of pearl millet, sorghum/M P chari, green fodder of cluster bean, locally available green grasses and straw (Dry fodder) of wheat, cluster bean, barley gram, peas, lentil and dry grasses offered by the farmers. The leaves of Prosopis cine;varia, Azad rachta indica, ficus religiosa, Acacia nilotica, and green biomass of ber/beri (Zyzyphus spp.) also offered during the period of stress besides grazing. The small reminents specially goats and sheep largely dependent upon leaves of Prosopis cineraria, Azad rachta indica, Ficus religiosa, Acacia milotica and Green biomass of Zyzyphus spp. during grazing. Occasionally dalia/flour of wheat and barley also offered during stall feeding.
