Abstract

The stability and homogeneity studies of selected nine blends of hybrid fuels prepared by refined soybean oil and ethanol with diesel have been conducted. The kinematic viscosity of the refined soybean oil and its blend with diesel and ethanol have been measured regularly up to a period of 3 months to observe the impact of temperature, oxidation as well as other physical variation on the state of fuel blends. There was deviation in the value of the kinematic viscosity of hybrid fuels but it was found with in the limit of Indian standard described for CI engines fuel.
