Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during to Kharif seasons 2001–02 and 2002–03 at Student's Instructional Farm of N. D. University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad (U.R) to find out the performance of hybrid rice varieties and their zinc sulphate requirements. Five varieties of hybrid rice viz., NDRH-2, Proagro-6111, Proagro-6201, Proagro-6207 and Proagro-6444 were tested in five doses of zinc sulphate viz., 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40 Kg/ha ZnSO4. Milling and cooking quality of hybrid rice were observed over all better performance was found in variety Proagro-6444 with application of 30 kg ha-l zinc sulphate during both the years of investigation]
