Eight genotypes belonging to Brassica species were evaluated for their tolerance to mustard aphid, Lipaphis erysimi (Kalt.). The infestation of mustard aphid on genotypes under field conditions revealed that there was an inter-genotypic variation In population of mustard aphid. Significantly lower populations of mustard aphid on DLSC-2 (Brassica carinata) and on T-27 (Eruca sativa) revealed resistance of these genotypes to mustard aphid. The genotype BSH-1 (B. campestris var. brown sarson) registered the highest number of mustard aphid which indicated susceptibility of this genotype of mustard aphid. Other five genotypes viz. Purple mutant, RH-7846, RH-9501 and RK-9501 belonging to B. juncia showed intermediate response to mustard aphid infestation.
