Women’s political engagement is significant for their growth and empowerment. It is not only a condition for modest justice or democracy but it can also be viewed as a critical situation for women’s empowerment. The goals of parity, growth, and peace cannot be achieved unless women eagerly participate and women’s perspectives are combined at each decision-making level. A political party’s importance is rooted in democratic moral ideologies, which believe that women and men are complementary individuals who should participate equally in group decision-making. The goal of this study is to determine the status of women representatives in urban local government in Bangladesh. This study is based on a combination of secondary and primary data. The two City Corporation’s Cumilla and Narayanganj primary bases were built on a case study. It has been accomplished with the assistance of secondary literature review and assertions. The situation of Bangladeshi women in the decision-making process is also examined in this study. There is a pressing need to increase the number of women in political communities at the local level.
