Abstract

Since last one decade India is more focusing on its neighbourhood to improve her relations. It is realised that stable political relations with its neighbours is in the interest of all. This will also help to keep the foreign forces at distance from the region. The lines were drawn (boundary) over maps without considering people's socio-economic condition and national security aspect. This has posed great threat to the existing political system in South Asia. It is very necessary to redraw the boundaries for the best national interest of the both countries. In respect of India-Bangladesh boundary issue, little has been done by exchanging the enclaves but other connectivity and security issues need to be addressed. India's North Eastern States and Bangladesh's CHT region would be the focus of redrawing of the boundaries between the two countries.
