Abstract

Three spray schedules of fungicides during mid September, mid-October and mid-November (Schedule -1); mid-September, mid-October, mid-November and mid-December (Schedule - II) and September, early October and end-October (Schedule - III) were tried. Three fungicides namely, Bayleton 25 WP (0.05%), Karathane 48 EC (0.1%) and Sulfex 80 WP (0.25%) were applied to the 20-years old ber plants cv. Umran in the orchard of PAU, Regional Fruit Research Station, Abohar during cropping seasons of 2004–05 and 2005–06. Spray schedule - II was significantly effective in checking the disease and increasing the ber yield. Amongst the fungicides, Bayleton 25WP was more effective and economical than Karathane and Sulfex.
