Abstract

The present investigations were undertaken to study the variability in leaf attributes of seven okra genotypes, NDO-10, Hissar-108-2, POS-1, POS-26, Punjab-8, Pusa Sawani and Pusa Makhmali at two stages (i) at flower initiation stage and (ii) after the onset of disease. Significant differences were observed in leaf angle, leaf shape, number of leaves plant−1, leaf area, leaf area index and specific leaf weight of resistant and susceptible okra plants, both before and after the onset of disease. These characteristics can be regarded as important factors imparting resistance against whitefly in okra genotypes.
