Abstract

Pea (Pisum sativum) is one of the most important vegetable crops of district Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. The crop is attacked by root rot, white rot & powdery mildew. To manage these disease five integrated disease management modules were evaluated in farmer's field at five locations. These modules were having treatments such as; seed treatment with Bavistin (carbendazim)/Trichoderma viride, spray of carbendazim, hexaconazole & bayleton. Among all, module 4 i.e. Seed treatment with carbendazim followed by sprays of carbendazim & bayleton was found best & provided 59.9, 52.4 & 74.0% control of root rot, white rot & powdery mildew, respectively along with 36.9% increase in yield over control. This module was closely followed by module 1 i.e. seed treatment with carbendazim followed by sprays of carbendazim & hexaconazole 57.8, 61.2 & 71.5% control of root rot, white rot & powdery mildew, respectively along with 25% control increase in yield over control.
