Two fungicides Ridomil MZ 72 (metalaxyl+ mancozeb) and Curzate (cymoxanil+ mancozeb) were tested at three locations in Kangra districts under farmers’ field conditions for two consecutive years for the management of late blight of potato. Two sprays of both the fungicides (Ridomil MZ 72 @ 0.25% and Curzate @ 0.2%) alternating with Dithane M-45 @ 0.25% were found most effective in lowering the disease severity and increasing the yields. In addition, the same management schedule also reduced the severity of early blight by more than 90 per cent. The application of curzate was found to favour the luxuriant growth of the crop and higher tuberization
