Abstract

Seven partially purified plant product preparations were screened for their efficacy against Fusarium oxysporum causing fruit rot of chilli. Bitter temru fruits and Datura leaves preparation inhibited the mycelial growth and spore germination of Fusarium oxysporum. Of the seven partially purified plant products preparation tested, both bitter temru fruits and Datura leaves preparations also caused maximum reduction in fruit rots. In pot experiments, fruit rots were effectively controlled by three successive sprays of bitter temru fruits and Datura leaves preparation as well as by a fungicide, Emcop-l.
