Abstract

Application of nitrogen increased seed yield significantly. 40 kg/ha nitrogen gave best yield inspite of higher PDI. Crop sown on 10th November have highest yield and lower disease intensity while crop sown in October had higher disease incidence and comparatively lower yield. Closely spaced and densely planted crop had more disease than widely spaced crop. Two sprays of Ridomil MZ-72 @0.1% at 14 days interval was most effective and significantly reduced downy mildew by 72.18% giving 22.75 PDI.
