An experiment was conducted to estimate harvest residue of Curzate M8 (cymoxanil 8%+ mancozeb 64%) in Kinnow mandarin fruit and soil at three doses of Curzate M8; soil drench (25 g/tree in 10 litres water), soil drench + trunk paint, as recommended (25 g/tree in 10 litres water + 2.5 g in 100 mllinseed oil) and double dose of soil drench + trunk paint (50 g/tree in 10 litres water + 5.0 g in 100 mllinseed oil), applied to ten years old Kinnow mandarin trees on 15th February and 13th August fruiting season of 2008–09. The fruit and soil samples were collected on 11th January, 2009 and residue of cymoxanil was determined by HPLC method and mancozeb by UV sprectophotometeric method. The residues of cymoxanil and mancozeb were found below the detectable levels at the time of harvest of Kinnow fruits and soil at the recommended and double dose of Curzate M8. Therefore, two applications of Curzate M8 at the recommended rate are safe and do not pose any health hazard.
