Abstract

The influence of weather parameters viz. maximum and minimum temperature, maximum and minimum humidity and rainfall on the occurrence and development of powdery mildew of wheat was observed on PBW 343 and HD 2967, susceptible wheat varieties in the screen house. The maximum disease severity and progress of disease were observed during October-November which gradually decreased in the following months which rose again and became severe in February-March. The lesser incubation period was also observed during October-November and February-March. Multiple correlation(R2) of the severity of the disease with the weather parameters was computed and significant results were obtained during different months.
