Abstract

Pectinases production by 30 different isolates of Fusarium verticilloides causing Bakanae disease of rice was estimated qualitatively as well as quantitatively. Test for qualitative estimation by in-vitro plate assay gave positive results for all the test isolates. Quantitative estimation of pectinases revealed that all isolates produced pectinases but the amount of enzyme varied from 0.02–0.11 U/ml/min.
