Comparative production of pectinases by Fusarium verticilloides (Gibberella fujikuroi) isolates causing Bakanae disease of basmati rice
Abstract
Pectinases production by 30 different isolates of Fusarium verticilloides causing Bakanae disease of rice was estimated qualitatively as well as quantitatively. Test for qualitative estimation by in-vitro plate assay gave positive results for all the test isolates. Quantitative estimation of pectinases revealed that all isolates produced pectinases but the amount of enzyme varied from 0.02–0.11 U/ml/min.
