Study based on the turbidity, seedling growing on test and pot experiment methods revealed the bacterium Clavibacter michiganensis, an incitant of bacterial canker of capsicum (Capsicum annuum l.) under protected cultivation in himachal Pradesh was invariably found to be seed borne in nature in causing 3.9 to 36.4 per cent disease in different cultivars of capsicum.
