A two year (2015–16 and 2016–17) field trial was carried out to find out the resistance against yellow leaf (YL) disease of sugarcane caused by Sugarcane yellow leaf virus (ScYLV). Out of seventy six, only seventeen were observed as free from yellow leaf whereas others were found to be affected with varying incidence and severity. However, on the basis of severity grades, total twenty nine genotypes, out of which thirteen i.e Co 09004, CoT 10366, Co 10027, CoT 10367, Co 11017, CoM 11081, CoM 11082, CoM 11083, CoM 11084, CoN 11071, Co 12007, CoM 12082, CoM 12083 from early and sixteen i.e. Co 09009, Co 10015, Co 10017, Co 10033, CoM 10083, CoVC 10061, Co 11007, Co 11012, Co 11019, Co 11020, Co 11021, CoM 11086, CoM 11087, CoN 11073, Co 12012, CoN 12073 from mid late group were found to be resistant against yellow leaf disease. While twenty eight, seventeen and two showed moderately resistant, moderately susceptible and susceptible reaction against YL, respectively.
