Effect of combined application of Paecilomyces lilacinus and organic amendments on the management of Tylenchulus semipenetrans

Department of Plant Pathology, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana-141001

Abstract

the management of the citrus nematode Tylenchulus semipenetrans was done using organic amendments incorporated with nematophagous fungus Paecilomyces lilacinus. the population of T.semipenetrans was found to be significantly reduced by the combined application of neem cake + P.lilacinus in both pot and field trials. The reduction in the population of nematode was found to be upto 56% and 42% in pot and field trials, respectively. A significant increase in the plant growth parameters viz., plant height and canopy area was also observed following the combined application of P. lilacinus and organic amendments.
