Influence of yellow mosaic disease (YMD) on biochemical and yield attributing traits in twelve soybean varieties was worked out under high disease pressure conditions at J.N.K.V.V., Jabalpur. Chlorophyll content in YMD affected leaves was reduced from 44.59 to 69.05 % in comparison to healthy leaves. Protein and phenol content were increased from 9.53 to 20.20% and 8.21 to 13.92%, respectively in YMD infected samples than healthy one. Number of pods (10.22 to 48.22%), yield (15.02 to 62.53%) and 100 seed weight (7.42 to 23.14%) were reduced in plant suffering with yellow mosaic disease severity in range of 28.40 to 71.28%. Pearson correlation revealed highly significant positive relation of yellow mosaic disease severity with reduction in number of pods, 100 seed weight and yield of soybean. The highest yield reduction was recorded in JS 20-34 (62.53%) followed by MACS 1520 (60.63%) and RSC 10-46 (58.94%) on 68.40, 71.28 and 62.63 per cent disease index of YMD, respectively.
