The present study revealed that the growth and yield of potato plant increases significantly by zinc sulphate application. Results indicated that recommended dose of NPK + ZnSO4 @ 1% (foliar) at 35, 45 and 55 DAP was found superior for maximum tuber yield as well as for growth characters as compared to rest of the treatments followed by recommended dose of NPK + ZnSO4 @20 kg/ha (basal). But the later treatment gave maximum net profit and showed its superiority over foliar application.
