Kalmegh (Andrographis paniculta Wall. Ex. Nees.) is one of the most important indigenous medicinal annual herb used in Indian system of medicines. Application of manures in horticultural crops particularly in medicinal and aromatic plants were use of chemical fertilizers must be avoided due to its bad effect on qualitative aspects. The results indicated that the maximum plant growth viz. plant spread, number of primary and secondary branches and number of leaves per plant have been found at wider spacing (30x40 cm) and due to use of the application of FYM prolong to 50 per cent flowering (only 2 days)compared to control. The maximum fresh and dry herbage yield (94.18q/ha and 54.33q/ha) was obtained at closer spacing (30x30cm) and in case of use various source of organics, application of FYM 10.0 ton/ha) followed by vermicompost (2.5 ton/ha) performed better in increasing fresh as well as dry herbage yield and planting at closer spacing (30x30 cm) was found optimum interaction effect due to spacing and various source of organics was found non significant.
