Field experiment was conducted during the year 2003–2004 to ascertain the effect of integrated nutrient management system on fruit yield, quality, nutrient uptake and soil fertility of apple orchard cv. Red Delicious. The results indicated that treatment combination T7 (late October 50% N, (through Dalweed), early March 25% N remaining P and K (through Urea, SSP & MOP) and the rest 25% N in early June (through Urea) found superior in term of better fruit yield and quality. Similar trend was also observed in nutrient uptake. Combined application of organic nutrient resources with in-organic fertilizer markedly increased the fertility status of orchard soil in comparison to inorganic fertilizers alone during both the years of the study.
